LADIES OF JAZZLadies of Jazz – Starring Christine Anu, Grace Knight, Monica Trapaga & Paulini will return in October 2009 for a series of concerts, paying homage to the iconic artists of Jazz & Blues music. “I feel I’m still learning about jazz, so it’s great to have some young blood around to challenge us, and some older blood to remind us why we started doing it in the first place!” Says Monica Trapaga The concert series will provide an explosive celebration of music from the 30’s, 40’s, through to now. The Ladies will perform songs made famous by iconic singers like Dinah Washington, Etta James, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, Nancy Wilson, Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee and many more. "We have a huge amount of fun whether backstage or onstage." Says Grace Knight Ladies Of Jazz made its debut on the New South Wales touring circuit in early 2009 to rave reviews. “Working with Christine, Monica and Grace has been a tremendous honour. These amazing women are not only fun to work with but are encouraging. I have not only learnt a lot about jazz and blues music but myself as an entertainer.” Says Paulini In addition to playing a series of concert dates, Ladies Of Jazz will also take to the stage at the ever- popular Jazz In The Vines festival on Saturday, 31st October 2009 Ladies Of Jazz is the brainchild of Christine Anu and her manager Jason Williamson for Stylin Up Entertainment Pty Ltd. “Ladies Of Jazz attracts people of all ages. It is a show that offers more than just music.
